We have been very pleased with our student's performances on the Years 3, 5 & 7 Literacy & Numeracy Tests. The student's results in Writing reflect the strong emphasis, teachers in Years 1, 2 & 3 place on the development of student's writing skills. We have observed the school average and state average has been close in Numeracy, which has led to further examination of teaching strategies across year levels in Numeracy. The School adopted a whole school approach, by purchasing the Go Maths program and introducing the program at each year level. Our intention is to monitor the program's use and assess its value in the coming years. We believe we can improve the standard of Reading & Viewing with further professional development of teachers in 2009.
